Artist's Description
The badlands view from the Tepees. This historic CCC hike from the tepees to the Blue Mesa trail provides different views with every turn. Lots of petrified wood and dinosaur bones are in this area, and the colors in the landscape change constantly, depending on the time of day, brightness of the sun, clouds, and rain really brings out the colors! Getting to this far requires you to hike 4 million geological years through the landscape. Amazing
This is a 3-image panarama. This image was shot during my tenure as resident artist in the "Artist in Residence" program at Petrified Forest National Park
