Description
It's hard to get tired of looking at Notre Dame cathedral! But the classic view of the south facade from the Left Bank (or Rive Gauche) across the Seine River is particularly delightful. When you look at Notre Dame closely, you can't help but be amazed at the intricacy in the details of the towers and spires and rooftop. From this side you can see the famous south Rose Window, a gift from the king Saint Louis and originally constructed in 1260. Notre Dame sits on the Ile de la Cite, the historic center of Paris.

A beautiful capture of elegance and artisan work. There's a feeling of grandness, of magnificence, of reaching for the sky. l/f/tw
